CML Scotland appoints new chairman
CML Scotland has appointed Jim Dunn, general manager of the Scottish Building Society, as chairman, succeeding Douglas Cochrane of Lloyds Banking Group to the role.

Dunn (pictured) has 30 years’ experience in financial services and joined the Scottish Building Society in 1998.

Speaking at the CML Scotland annual lunch, Dunn said: “The last year has been a particularly busy one. Not only have there been many UK-wide issues, but there have been a number of very specific issues concerning the housing and mortgage market in Scotland, including the Homeowner and Debtor Protection (Scotland) Act 2010 and the UK Supreme Court decision in the case of The Royal Bank of Scotland plc v Wilson.

“CML Scotland represents the interests of over 20 members lending in Scotland and this year will continue to advise on issues affecting Scotland, particularly those arising from our separate legal system and the activities of the Scottish Government.”
