Exclusive: Harris, Rickards and Wilson appointed to lead Lloyds broker sales

Lloyds Banking Group has confirmed the three sales bosses to stay with their brands after reapplying for their jobs are head of national accounts, Maria Harris, Phil Rickards, head of sales at Birmingham Midshires and Ian Wilson, head of sales at Halifax.
Kevin Purvey, head of sales at Cheltenham & Gloucester for Intermediaries and Scottish Widows Bank is said to be “reviewing his options” both inside and outside the bank.
Mike Jones, sales director for mortgages at Lloyds, said: “This is an important step in building our intermediary team for the future, and I look forward to working with Maria, Phil and Ian. I would also like to thank Kevin for his valuable contribution to the intermediary business over the years.”
The Group announced the four intermediary bosses had been asked to reapply for their jobs on Monday this week, following the announced closure of Cheltenham & Gloucester for Intermediaries in mid-March.
A Lloyds spokesperson confirmed the group is in consultation with up to 100 sales staff who are re-applying for roles within the two sales teams.
The consultation on the structure of the remaining sales teams continues until 1 June. This will result in further redundancies as three sales teams are consolidated into two – Birmingham Midshires and Halifax – with the Halifax team taking on the Scottish Widows brand.
