Built for advisers, the app provides ‘real time’ protection quotes.
A Tools section enables pre-selection of options to tailor the quote process. Links to the Legal & General websites also give access to product information and literature.
In addition, links to an adviser’s contacts list and calendar allows advisers to book appointments for clients interested in protection.
Emails are also pre-populated with quote results so advisers can email details to themselves, their client or their administration team.
The app also features ‘real time’ marketing messages, product and pricing information.
Commenting, Alison Manning, head of product development for individual protection, said, “We are the first protection provider to market with a dedicated iPhone and iPad app for advisers.
“It is important for the industry to use modern technology that can help make protection more accessible for advisers and their clients.”
She added: “We also want advisers to help us with future developments for the app such as interactive sales aids and we have included a feedback facility, which emails directly to the development team.
“This will ensure we build the functionality that advisers want and which will help them explain the importance of protection to their clients.”
