TMA increases broker proc fees
The Mortgage Alliance (TMA) has increased the procuration fee it pays to member brokers by up to 0.10%.

The mortgage club, which was recently acquired by LSL Property Services, has increased its members’ proc fee from 0.25% to 0.35% on Northern Rock mortgage products and to 0.30% on Halifax products.

In addition, it will pay 0.34% on Leeds Building Society mortgages and 0.32% on Coventry Building Society deals.

TMA said it was also in discussion with a number of new national and regional lenders to join its panel.

Phil Whitehouse, head of TMA, said: “TMA has always fought hard to get the best deals for brokers, but now has the added strength and impetus of LSL behind it to help make this happen.

“The increase in procuration fees and the increase in the number of exclusive products have both got to be good news for brokers, but we are working hard to bring in a raft of new improvements for our members to benefit from.”
