Lee Gladwell leaves Platform
Lee Gladwell, Platform's director of sales and proposition, left the company yesterday after just over four years with the company following a role review.

Gladwell follows Platform’s managing director David Tweedy’s exit, who started in his new role as interim executive director at financial services firm Lexington Green in June this year.

A spokesperson at Platform said: “We can confirm that Lee Gladwell has left The Co-operative Banking Group.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lee for his work at Platform where he has played an integral role in making the business the success it is today and wish him well for the future.

“The Co-operative Bank remains committed to the intermediary lending sector where it has pledged to significantly increase its lending to the market this year.

James Hillon now has responsibility for Platform as part of his role as head of mortgages for The Co-operative Bank whilst Colin Welby will head up the Platform sales and distribution team as part of his role as head of partnerships for the bank.

The bank restructured its mortgage teams into one after a strategic review into its mortgage business. Intermediary specialists will continue to manage the day to day running of the Platform business, it said.

Platform placed 80 of its staff under consultation in February ahead of the scaling back of staff in London after the majority of its processing was moved to Manchester from Canary Wharf.
