Pink Network recorded its highest ever life cover sales at the end of 2012, with the network set to launch a series of roadshow events this year.

The network said its sales figures for protection products had risen across the year, with November’s figures 9% above the previous record monthly total.

Pink’s protection panel currently consists of Aviva, Pru Protect, Zurich, Bright Grey and LV=.

The network said it had asked its advisers to focus on the protection market during the year and would offer roadshows and seminars throughout 2013 for brokers to learn more about the products on the market and the skills needed to sell protection.

Mark Graves, director of Pink, said the results showed that the network was committed to helping bridge the protection gap.

“Ending the year with another record month proves the advisers in Pink understand the importance of providing their clients with protection and helping to close the protection gap.

“Of course it couldn’t have been done without the five members of our life panel who have worked with us to provide our members with the tools they need to grow their business. We will continue to work and invest in the network and our members throughout 2013.

“It is then down to members to use what we provide in order to succeed and at the end of 2012 we saw the evidence that they’re doing just that.”

The network rebranded in October to reflect its new wider-ranging focus.
