Pink to hold equity release workshops
Pink has introduced a series of themed training events for its appointed representatives authorised to advise on equity release.

The first event will be a business development seminar looking at suitable clients, the law around equity release and other compliance issues.

The network has also appointed Engage Mutual to its panel.

Pink Network head Mark Graves said: “The impact of the rapidly ageing population on society is only just being realised. Going forward, retirees will not be able to rely on the government to provide for them.

“Using equity release products to release capital from their property can be an excellent way to raise or maintain an older person’s standard of living and advisers who are experts in the area can really add value.”

Engage Mutual head of sales Steve Treasure said: “We work closely with intermediaries to ensure we can support them in solving their clients’ protection needs and meet a growing demand for these products amongst older clients.

“Being invited to join Pink’s panel underlines the relevance of Engage Mutual products which recognise that people in the second half of their lives have very specific needs, some of which can be met by the products and support services we offer.”
