Former broker launches client referral platform
Brokers can boost client referrals by joining a streamlined online hub offering prizes and rewards, its creator has suggested.

Launched on 1 November, Referral Hub has been set up by former mortgage broker Kevin Fowler in an attempt to help brokers build on referrals from their existing clients.

Clients who refer their broker will be rewarded by entry into the lottery and other prize draws. If the referral is successful, the client will then receive vouchers as a further reward.

Fowler said: “We all know that brokers are the people to go to in order to get the best service and the best advice. While most get regular referrals from their clients, Referral Hub has been designed to increase those referral numbers beyond what even the most successful broker currently gets.”

Referral Hub members will have a personalised URL for their web page which they can include in their email signature, he added.

Brokers must pay £30 per month or £240 per year to become a member of the hub with their own personal web page. Clients can use the form on the page to enter the contact details of friends or family who may need mortgage advice. The individual named may then give their permission for their details to be passed on to the broker.

If the broker succeeds in gaining a new client, he or she must pay a further £96 fee to Referral Hub. Of this, £60 is split between the client who gave the referral and the new client in the form of M&S or other vouchers.
