Two-thirds of brokers ‘considering’ switch to DA
Almost two-thirds of mortgage brokers say they are ‘considering’ moving from being an appointed representative to directly authorised.

The Mortgage Solutions People’s Poll found 63% of brokers were considering making the leap, with a further 19% actively planning to switch.

Just 3% of respondents said they had considered a move and decided against it while 15% said they had not yet thought about the possibility.

A Mortgage Solutions report published today charts the story of two brokers applying for directly authorised permissions.

“I want to have a client rather than a transaction so being DA is more attractive. I have the ability to change the business and offer what I want to offer,” said Edinburgh Mortgage Advice broker Mark Dyason.
