Zurich launches mobile protection app
Zurich has launched a ‘ground-breaking' app that gives advisers access to the progress of protection applications wherever and whenever they want it.

The app, called M-Office, is a first for the industry, providing all the key details around the progress of an application in one place.

M-Office includes the ability to activate cases that are only awaiting a start date from within the app itself.

Users can also prioritise their pipeline and customise features, which Zurich said is particularly useful for those advisers that have established tracking and chasing processes.

For those that have many cases in their pipeline, they can filter their cases by name or by what stage the applications are in the process, Zurich also said.

Advisers and paraplanners can also view a list of the outstanding requirements, whether the action is the adviser’s or Zurich’s, and inform Zurich of new information or respond to a requirement via the app.

It is available via the Apple App Store as a free download.

Ian McKenna, director at the Finance & Technology Research Centre said:
“This is a great app which delivers excellent functionality to advisers and paraplanners. It’s a first-class example of how insurers can use the app ecosystem to provide instant access to key information whenever advisers need it.”

Peter Hamilton, head of retail propositions at Zurich said the app was launched in recognition of the fact advisers increasingly need to “do more in less time.”
