The firm made the decision to increase its proposition from buy-to-let to include additional commercial services after seeing “significant” growth in the number and competitiveness of commercial products.
Stuart Cunningham, director of operations at Commercial Trust, said: “The market has grown steadily over the last year.
“In our second full year of trading the number of mortgages we secured for our customers grew by 400%.”
Cunningham said Commercial Trust’s forecast for 2014 means it will triple its number of advisers by the end of this year.
