Pink launches MMR broker roadshow
Pink Mortgage Club is set to launch a series of roadshows to help directly authorised brokers manage the transition to the new rules set out in the Mortgage Market Review.

The events will be attended by mortgage lenders such as Santander and Aldermore, second charge broker The Loans Engine and protection providers LV= and Exeter Family Friendly.

David Copland, director of mortgage services for LSL, Pink’s parent company, said: “While it is still early days since the MMR was implemented into the sales process it is inevitable that advisers will have challenges coping with lenders’ new criteria.

“They may find that it takes longer to process a case and get it approved and may well struggle with getting to grips with the new underwriting.”

Copland said the roadshows will give brokers the opportunity to discuss these challenges directly with lenders and providers as well as finding out how to maximise opportunities in other product areas such as buy-to-let.

The first in a series of four roadshows starts on 14 May in Manchester, then moves to York on 15 May followed by the Midlands on 20 May and finishes in London on 22 May.
