Distribution director, Bruce Reid, said: “Feedback from brokers has been overwhelmingly positive. They really like the ease of the system, in particular how they can choose the preferred call back time for their customer. Given their positive response, we’re delighted to extend our special commission offer through to the end of the month.”
At the end of May, general insurance provider Select & Protect hit back over comments from rival firm Uinsure which questioned the quality of its products after it went head-to-head over commission payments.
Uinsure is also offering 25% commission to brokers to match Select & Protect’s broker remuneration deal.
But Jason Berry, Uinsure head of key accounts, said its promotion had the edge ‘because unlike its competitor Uinsure could also guarantee a quality product with excellent benefits’.
Bruce Reid, distribution director at Select & Protect, said: “It’s not the first time one of our initiatives has been copied and I doubt it will be the last.”
