Given their positive response, we’re delighted to extend our special commission offer through to the end of the month.”
At the end of May, general insurance provider Select & Protect hit back over comments from rival firm Uinsure which questioned the quality of its products after it went head-to-head over commission payments.
Uinsure is also offering 25% commission to brokers to match Select & Protect’s broker remuneration deal.
But Jason Berry, Uinsure head of key accounts, said its promotion had the edge ‘because unlike its competitor Uinsure could also guarantee a quality product with excellent benefits’.
Bruce Reid, distribution director at Select & Protect, said: “It’s not the first time one of our initiatives has been copied and I doubt it will be the last.”
