Goldsmith Williams to re-focus on lender introduced business
Following an operational review, residential conveyancer Goldsmith Williams is aligning itself more closely with the lending market.

The legal firm remains a key partner of Precise and is already in talks with three lenders, all authorised with two yet-to-come to market.

Senior partner Eddie Goldsmith (pictured) said: “One of our potential provider partners is already lending but keen to put out more products, although one of the others launching later this year could be very significant in the same field as Precise.”

On the firm’s strategic he said: “This is a mature decision from us. There’s been a game changer as lenders want quality not quantity, particularly from their lawyers. We wanted to free up capacity to deal with other new lenders as well.”

The firm plans to offer a highly specialised residential conveyancing, remortgage and bridging service.

The firm said there will be some restrictions in accepting future business as we will no longer be taking instructions directly from brokers and introducers but it will continue to deal with the broker and packaging market through its lender connections.
