Complete FS to raise charity cash with ‘alternative Ryder Cup’
Complete FS is to host an alternative mortgage industry Ryder Cup competition to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The competition takes place in Hampshire on October 1 and is the third annual tournament.

A mortgage team led by Tony Salentino will face off against a bridging and commercial lending squad captained by Phil Jay.

The latter has won the tournament on its previous two outings but Salentino was confident ahead of this year’s face-off.

“We were unlucky last year not to snatch victory, but the draw we had in 2013 will inspire us to great things this year. We have strengthened the team and I have taken a leaf out of the Paul McGinley book of captaincy after his successful campaign to retain the Ryder Cup. This is war and we shall prevail.”

Jay said: “I am pleased to welcome back the majority of last year’s team and I am confident we will prevail. The Mortgage Team is long on bluster and short on hope. I have no doubt that we will comfortably retain ‘our’ trophy.”

The mortgage team:
Tony Salentino – Captain
Mark Rookyard – GE Money
Graeme Aitken – Bucks BS
Gordon Rae – Dudley BS
Andrew Ferguson – Kent Reliance
Richard Keen – The Loans Engine
Jon Sturgess – Magellan
Stuart Bryce – Mansfield BS

The bridging and commercial team:
Phil Jay – Captain
Andy Reid – Interbay
Rob Love – United Trust Bank
Pete Turner – Shawbrook
Gareth Lewis – Precise
Jonathan Seifert – Hudson Keys
Nick Jones – Blemain
Jeremy Crinall – Funding Circle

Good luck to all from the Mortgage Solutions team (ed.)
