New categories announced for British Mortgage Awards 2015
Mortgage Solutions is proud to announce the tenth anniversary of the British Mortgage Awards 2015 with exciting revisions to its award categories, acknowledging stand out achievements and reflecting the industry's excellence.

The annual awards, in association with Mortgage Solutions, have become a well-known fixture in the mortgage industry and will be held on 9 July at the Westminster Park Plaza.

The awards will once again showcase and recognise the best achievements of individuals among lenders, broker firms and business leaders during the past 12 months.

In total, the British Mortgage Awards will be celebrating 29 award categories on the night and honouring the most deserving individuals. This year there will be amendments to three categories and an additional award under Intermediary Lender.

The newly amended category and definitions are as follows:

Best Newcomer Product Provider
Nominees should have up to two years’ experience in the mortgage industry and have demonstrated first class results, attitude and ambition and have ample evidence that they have consistently overachieved. The category is open to employees of mortgage lenders, general insurance and protection providers, legal services providers and surveyors.

Meanwhile, Intermediary Lender will be divided into two categories, creating a new category for an individual at a mortgage provider lending under £5bn gross a year.

Both intermediary lender awards celebrate standout individuals who provide leadership and authority and will have shown a willingness to work with all parties to sustain and evolve the marketplace.

Best Newcomer, Distributor
Nominees should have up to two years’ experience in the mortgage industry and will have demonstrated first class results, attitude and ambition and have ample evidence that they have consistently overachieved. The category is open to employees of businesses that distribute products in the intermediated mortgage channel. This could include but is not restricted to employees of mortgage brokers, mortgage networks, mortgage clubs, and distributors of legal, surveying and other mortgage related products.

Once individuals are voted, the panel of judges vigorously review candidates through a selection process which may include face-to-face interviews with a judging panel. The awards will then take place on 9 July at the stunning Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel in London.
