Paragon and Santander unveil topics for Buy to Let Forum
Paragon and Santander have revealed their topics of discussion for the Buy to Let Market Forum which focus on fraud and the effects of buy to let on the UK's housing market.

Speaking for Paragon at the Cardiff, Birmingham, Warrington and Winchester events are senior regional sales manager Jason Wilde and Moray Hulme, Paragon’s head of sales.

Santander’s representatives are Paul Adams, head of sales, and Richard Howes, national key account manager. Adams will speak at the Birmingham and Winchester events, while Howes will address brokers at Cardiff and Warrington.

Wilde and Hulme will talk to the forum’s delegates about how the private rental sector has overtaken the social rented sector to become the second largest housing tenure in the UK. They will take a look at the factors behind its success and how buy to let has helped to facilitate this growth.

Adams and Howes will focus on the issue of backdoor residential business masquerading as buy to let. They will give brokers advice on how to spot a fraudulent application, discuss what a typical fraudulent buy-to-let case looks like and how brokers should handle a fraud case once it has been discovered.

– Robert Barnard, head of intermediary distribution, Aldermore
– Ian Carswell, regional sales manager, BM Solutions
– Phil Rickards, head of mortgages, BM Solutions
