Openwork CEO McIntyre departs for Old Mutual Wealth
Openwork has announced the departure of Mary-Anne McIntyre as the network’s CEO, who will join Old Mutual Wealth as chief distribution officer from September.

Under the new role, McIntyre (pictured) will draw together distribution activities across the Old Mutual Wealth business, as well as product development and marketing.

Mark Duckworth, who has been managing director of Openwork since 2011, has now been appointed as CEO and will assume the new role with immediate effect, subject to necessary approvals being granted.

Duckworth will lead Openwork’s senior management team with responsibility for some 3,000 advisers across the group.

Christopher Rodrigues, chairman of the Openwork Group said Duckworth was the “natural choice” for the new appointment.

“Mark has a wealth of experience and will offer valuable continuity, stability and enthusiasm as he and the wider management team seek to build on Openwork’s success and take the business on the next step of its journey.

“I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at Openwork to thank Mary-Anne for her hard work and commitment and we wish her all the best for the future,” he said.

Duckworth added: “I am extremely proud to have been appointed CEO of Openwork. We have made huge strides in the last few years to ensure Openwork delivers a first class customer proposition through its advice network which is now secured by a robust infrastructure and the emergence of sustainable profits.”
