Brandon Lewis to stay on as housing minister
Brandon Lewis MP will stay on as minister for housing and planning for another term, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has confirmed.

Amid speculation on Monday that Lewis (pictured) would be replaced by minister for communities and local government Mark Francois, as the fifth housing minister in almost five years, Lewis has retained his post.

Writing on Twitter, Coreco director Andrew Montlake, said: “Good to have continuity and @BrandonLewis comes across very well – good decision.”

Brightstar CEO Rob Jupp added: “Delighted that @BrandonLewis has retained his housing role. I’ve enjoyed meeting him and do believe that he is the man to make progress.”

Lewis retained his seat for another five years in Great Yarmouth in this year’s general election.
