Mortgage Solutions news editor Samantha Partington snapped up the Mortgage Journalist of the Year B2B award at last night’s Headlinemoney awards, sponsored by Shawbrook, which was just one of three awards picked up by the team.
Partington also picked up the first award of the night, the Rising Star of the Year award.
Hannah Uttley who started at Mortgage Solutions as senior reporter at Mortgage Solutions in January this year also won Financial Healthcare Journalist of the Year for her work on Workplace Savings and Benefits.
Of Partington’s Mortgage Journalist of the Year award, the judges said: “It’s a close decision at the top this year but I think Samantha Partington deserves to win because she consistently finds good stories that none of her rivals have managed to source,” said one judge.

On Uttley, the judges said: “I like the freshness of her work. She submitted three good articles, which took a more unconventional approach but which all deserved a greater airing,” one judge said.
The Headlinemoney awards ceremony, held last night at the London Hilton on Park Lane are the UK’s most coveted and prestigious trophies within financial services media.
