Lenders fail to deliver good service say developers
Some 77% of property developers say they have never experienced good service from a lender, research finds.

Regentsmead conducted the poll following its ‘One Stop Shop’ seminar at which 130 developers attended to access insight on areas of property insight including access to finance, planning, tax, legal framework and timber frame construction.

James Bloom, CEO of Regentsmead, said: “The event aimed to shed light on some of the most common pitfalls associated with financing various projects and provides developers with an open forum to ask questions to our panel of experts on a variety of issues from planning to warranty provision.”

The findings followed a recent housebuilding survey conducted by Knight Frank which revealed that developers were seeing little improvement in the structure and experience in borrowing money.

The Knight Frank survey highlighted that many developers were surprised by the complete lack of funding available from reputable lenders.

Regentsmead said it planned to host a repeat of the seminar in conjunction with warranty provider Checkmate.
