Lloyds covers legal fee costs for home buyers
Lloyds Bank has pledged to pay for basic legal work on a property purchase for customers that choose to use the lender’s econveyancing service.

The bank said its offer for home buyers would save customers money while also reducing the time it takes to source a legal representative to carry out the conveyancing work needed.

Customers can choose from Lloyds’ panel of conveyancers that are recommended based on price, distance or rating. Borrowers are informed of conveyancing costs at the outset which Lloyds said would further support customers when planning their house purchase budget.

Andy Mason, mortgages director at Lloyds Bank, said: “This latest offer will help to ease the financial burden on customers while helping to make the home buying process as stress-free as possible.”

The bank is also offering exclusive access to rates on a number of its mortgage products to customers with a Club Lloyds current account, with reduced rates of up to 0.20%.
