Previously Santander’s mortgage offers were sent to intermediaries via post, but brokers will now be able to download and print a copy of their client’s offer as soon as it is issued.
The service change applies to all mortgage offers issued in the last 180 days where the application has not yet completed. Mortgage offers will be displayed on Santander’s introducer internet in case reference descending order, with multiple mortgage offers displayed in date order.
Santander said it would also continue to issue a copy of the mortgage offer through the post.
Graham Sellar, head of mortgage business development, (pictured) said the changes would allow brokers to make changes to customer details quicker if needed.
“Mortgage offers are still something that brokers receive in the post in an online world. These service improvements will put brokers more in control of the application process,” he said.
Last month Santander announced one-day valuation instructions for residential purchase and buy-to-let purchase and remortgage deals. In order to speed up offer times, Santander said it would instruct free valuations straight away where cases are set up by 4pm.
