Santander refreshes large loan residential and buy-to-let rates
Santander has updated its buy-to-let and residential large loan products, aimed at second-steppers, homemovers and borrowers looking to invest in property.

Highlights from the buy-to-let range, which are available for purchase and remortgage, include a 60% loan-to-value (LTV) five-year fixed rate at 3.29% with a £1,995 booking fee and a 75% LTV two-year tracker at 2.84% with £995 booking fee.

Customers looking to borrow from the large loan range, which offers loans up to £3m, can choose from a two-year and five-year fixed rate and two-year tracker, all at 60% LTV.

Santander’s fixed rates are 1.79% for its two-year deal and 2.84% for its five-year loan. Its two-year tracker comes at a rate of 1.84%. All of the lender’s new large loans come with a £1,995 booking fee on purchase and remortgage deals.

Miguel Sard, Santander’s managing director of mortgages (pictured), said: “Throughout 2015, we have worked hard to support all areas of the market. We hope these new rates on residential large loans will help support the second steppers, keen to move up the housing ladder and the competitive buy-to-let rates launched today will enable people looking to invest in property make it a reality.”
