Southampton-based specialist mortgage broker Mortgage Hut has joined Mortgage Advice Bureau as an Appointed Representative (AR).
The firm, founded by Chris Schutrups just over three years ago, has 15 advisers with specialisms in police mortgages, estate agency and most lately, new build.
Schutrups said: “It was an easy decision to join MAB having met the team there, and also having spoken to firms of scale that have joined them, which I have a great deal of respect for.”
“Our business is about delivering an outstanding customer experience, but also the adviser experience is key, and working with MAB we can take both to another level,” he added.
MAB CEO Peter Brodnicki (pictured) said: “It’s people like Chris who excite me about our industry and what we can all achieve together. The intermediary proposition is a hugely compelling one for consumers, however their expectations of how they wish to engage with intermediaries is changing, and as a result so will the intermediary landscape.”
Mortgage Advice Bureau is a mortgage network with over 840 mortgage advisers and reported revenue up 33% to £75.5m in its first full year results to March post-float in November 2014.
It was the first and currently the only mortgage intermediary to have floated on the London Stock Exchange, having joined the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
