Louisa Sedgwick jumps ship to head for Belmont Green
Belmont Green Finance Limited has appointed Louisa Sedgwick to director of sales – mortgages, following a successful stint at Leeds Building Society where she played a key role in developing the lender’s intermediary strategy.

Sedgwick will report into sales and marketing director Guy Batchelor, who commented: “Louisa has worked within the financial services industry for 25 years, 18 of which have been in the intermediary space. She is incredibly passionate about the industry and recognises the need to support intermediaries in developing their businesses going forward and offering alternative mortgage solutions to their customers.”

Coincidentally, Leeds Building Society is also making several senior manager changes, as it seeks to build on a recent run of strong results and further develop its intermediary offering.

A new role of director of change has been created and it will be filled by Tom Tinkler who moves from his previous role as director of operations. Martin Richardson will move across from the role of director of business development to fill the director of operations position following his success in developing the society’s intermediary team.

At the same time, Jaedon Green will expand his previous responsibilities as director of product to become director of product and distribution.

“Intermediaries play a vital role in the society’s mortgage business,” said Jaedon. “Their support has been key to our recent strong growth in lending. Meeting our members’ ever-changing needs drives our award-winning product innovation and we know intermediaries are similarly focused on delivering the best for their clients.
