Richard Tugwell joins Together
Together has appointed Richard Tugwell as group intermediary relationship director, as the specialist lender continues to expand its distribution network.

Tugwell will oversee the company’s broker relationship teams, liaising with introducers across the UK.

Formerly Virgin Money’s director of intermediaries and ex-director of IMLA, Tugwell left the bank to join Capital Home Loans (CHL) in July 2016 as the lender prepared to relaunch into the mortgage market with a buy-to-let range.

In May, CHL’s chief executive Bob Andrews confirmed to Mortgage Solutions it had shelved its plans to launch a mortgage range planning instead to focus on portfolio acquisition and servicing third party debt.

Tugwell, who was appointed as commercial director, left the company around this time.

On his new appointment, he said: “Together has a great reputation within the market, and exciting plans for expansion. I’m really looking forward to playing an integral role in the growth of the intermediary teams and the development of Together’s distribution channels.”

Marc Goldberg, Together’s commercial CEO and British Specialist Lending Awards winner, said: “Attracting Richard to Together is a testament to the high regard in which we’re held within the industry and his expertise will be invaluable as we continue with our exciting growth plans, across both the personal and commercial marketplaces.”

Together has a current loan book of over £2bn with total new lending for 2016 at just under £1.1bn.
