Barclays overhauls two-year fixes
Barclays is overhauling its range of two-year fixed rate mortgages.

In total 14 loans are being introduced or having rates cuts across the purchase, remortgage, and rate switch and further advance ranges.

The deals are available between 60% and 85% loan to value (LTV) and range from fee free to a £1,499 fee.

Barclays Mortgages director Craig Calder (pictured) said: “We are pleased to confirm the launch of these new products which coupled with the rate reductions that we are making, will further enhance our already competitive mortgage product range.”

Changes include:

  • a 1.49% remortgage at 60% LTV for loans from £50k to £500,000;
  • a 1.59% remortgage at 75% LTV for loans up to £500,000;
  • reducing rates on selected remortgage and purchase products, with 60% LTV rates available from 1.14%.
