The free Growth Series has started with two initial blogs. The first looks at the common traits of successful mortgage brokers. These include:
- being good with people,
- having a clear defined vision for your firm,
- being open to delegation,
- taking a flexible and adaptable approach.
The second blog is a downloadable ‘cheat sheet’ on how brokers can drum up business from Google My Business. It includes guidance on how to correctly set up your business’s details, why you should add a weekly update and how to review whether your listing has brought in any business.
Accord said that future additions to the series will include bite-size guides, tips and videos, as well as interactive webinars, looking at how intermediaries can add value to their business.
Where brokers need help
The lender said the content for the series was driven by conversations with intermediaries, who had pinpointed areas where they needed help. Accord said the series will focus on seven key topics over the coming months, such as how to generate more leads and manage online reviews.
Jeremy Duncombe, director of intermediary distribution at Accord, said: “We appreciate that a broker’s time is precious, therefore we have designed the growth series to provide intermediaries with easily applied actions that will quickly make a long-term difference to their business.
He added that the series is open to all brokers, irrespective of how much business they send to the lender.
