Last night at The Headlinemoney Awards, Mortgage Solutions group editor Victoria Hartley scooped the mortgage journalist of the year, B2B award in a close fight to the finish according to the judges.
The financial journalism awards held at famous city venue the Brewery saw Hartley take the top prize in the B2B category, sponsored by Coreco and presented by host and BBC journalist Sarah Smith, with ex-Mortgage Solutions features editor, Adam Williams, now at The Telegraph, taking the consumer mortgage prize for his work at Moneywise.
A two-horse race
According to the judges: “Two journalists quickly emerged as front-runners in the eyes of the judging panel, with Mortgage Solutions’ Victoria Hartley eventually landing the spoils.
“Victoria’s excellent market knowledge and contact building skills are evident in her submissions,” one judge commented in the awards book of the night.
