Property portal Zoopla has released the keywords that prospective homebuyers are most likely to use when searching on the site.
‘Detached’, ‘garage’ and ‘bungalow’ were found to be the three most-common searched for terms.
However, the site revealed significant regional variations. For example, ‘houseboat’ and ‘balcony’ are popular search terms in London, while sea views are more commonly sought in the south west, north east and Wales.
Elsewhere, a conservatory and land are popular with buyers in the Yorkshire and the Humber.

Lawrence Hall, spokesman for Zoopla, said: “While location and price are clearly some of the main drivers behind property purchasing decisions, data from our keyword search tool reveals some of the property-related specifics buyers across Britain are looking for.”
