First-time buyers want everything, says Andrew Montlake, director at mortgage broker Coreco, but they particularly want a simplistic process and sureity of decisions because they are focused on getting on the property ladder.
Ian Wilson, head of Halifax Intermediaries said there is always an opportunity to keep it simple and added: “What we do find is that cashback is probably the most popular offering and we are amazed at the increase in business when cashback products are available.”
