Vida Homeloans launches into the Scottish market
Vida Homeloans has launched in Scotland as part of its growth plans and it has appointed Kenny Clark as key account manager, joining from HSBC.

Its products are now available to those purchasing or remortgaging Scottish residential and buy-to-let properties, including its limited company, houses in multiple occupation and portfolio propositions.

Guy Batchelor, sales and marketing director at Vida Homeloans (pictured), told Mortgage Solutions that Vida has always planned to launch in Scotland since it started lending two years ago.

He also told Mortgage Solutions that the lender has also hired a dedicated underwriting team based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, to look after the cases in Scotland.

Kenny Clark said that he is pleased to represent Vida in Scotland and to be the primary point of contact for Scottish brokers.

He added: “I can see Vida’s unique buy-to-let and expat propositions being very popular in key Scottish cities such as Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh.”

Director at First Mortgage, Ian McGrail, believes Vida’s launch into the Scottish market is a positive one: “Here at First Mortgage, we have just launched a specialist lending team to cater for our extensive network of branches in Scotland so this news is very welcome indeed.

“I am sure we will be able to help many more customers with the addition of Vida Homeloans and I look forward to working together in the near future.”
