NatWest launches online document upload system
NatWest Intermediary Solutions have introduced new technology to speed up the time it takes to upload mortgage application documents, the lender has announced.

The online system, which helps brokers upload documents securely, is designed to improve processing times.

It was piloted last year and, according to NatWest, developers listened to brokers’ feedback and used it to finesse the technology.

‘Straightforward and user friendly’

The facility is another addition to the paperless mortgage, which was introduced by NatWest in 2017, and meant customers could apply online for the first time, uploading documents securely for verification and sharing.

NatWest said it believes the technology will give brokers the tools to help customers get their new home faster.

And it added that it should be another step towards eradicating what can be an agonising wait while important documents are in the post.

Meridian Mortgages which was involved in the pilot said: “The new secure upload system is great, really straightforward and user friendly, we are pleased to see our feedback has been implemented too.”
