Former Leeds BS head Peter Hill takes directorship at Pure Retirement
Peter Hill is to join Pure Retirement as a non-executive director from the start of May.
Hill retired from his position as chief executive officer at Leeds Building Society in February, and was previously a chairman of the Council of Mortgage Lenders and board member of UK Finance.
Andrew Thirkill, chairman of Pure Retirement, noted that Hill was one of the most “experienced and well-respected operators within the UK mortgage industry”.
He continued: “With Peter’s help and guidance, together with a strong board and an experienced management team, we are looking forward to even greater success as we enter the next stage of our growth.”

Nixon joins Intrinsic
Elsewhere, Intrinsic has appointed Charlotte Nixon as proposition director.
She joins from Vitality UK where she held the post of national account manager. Before this she worked in a variety of positions at Personal Touch Financial Services.
In the new role Nixon will work closely with Gemma Harle, who has recently taken on an expanded role as managing director of financial planning and the mortgage network at Intrinsic.
Harle said that Nixon brought a “range of expertise” which would be vital for the network in the future.
“Not only does she have an excellent understanding of the intermediary market and the role networks play in supporting brokers to provide quality advice,” Harle said.
“She will be crucial in helping this business continue to meet and exceed the needs of advisers and their clients,” she added.
