Poll: Is the FCA right to consider prioritising customer outcomes over compliance?
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is proposing an overhaul of its regulatory approach, suggesting greater focus on customer outcomes might be a more appropriate priority than rigid compliance to rules.

Speaking yesterday, FCA executive director of strategy and competition Christopher Woolard said: “One thing is already clear – we are moving from a narrower compliance with the rules, to a focus on delivering the outcomes we want for the users of financial services.”

He added: “The demand from the public is clear, they don’t care if a set of rules has been followed, they care about the outcome they receive.”

So this week Mortgage Solutions is asking if brokers agree with this change of direction?
