Just Mortgages Academy adds 11 trainees
Eleven trainees have begun with the Just Mortgages Broker Academy, the firm has announced.

The trainees were selected from more than 900 initial applicants and will now undergo five weeks of intensive training to become fully fledged brokers.

The first fortnight of the programme is devoted to passing the CeMAP1 exam, with Just Mortgages combining classroom instruction with its own ‘learning management system’ allowing the trainees to study in their own time.

After that they will spend the remainder onsite where Just Mortgages said they will get the chance to develop the skills they need as brokers, such as understanding the sales process, how to build a rapport with clients, and how to effectively question clients.

They will also be trained in how to use social media in order to drive new business.

Rodney Sloan (pictured), head of training for Just Mortgages, said the academy was bringing new blood into the industry.

“It’s not about producing identikit brokers delivering scripted pitches. People buy people, not robots, so we want to encourage all our new brokers to let their personality shine through,” he continued.

“The training programme is hard work but we’ve invested a lot of time and resource into making sure it’s fun too.”
