The lender has also followed government guidelines on non-essential travel so that all business development managers, telephone and field-based, will now be working from home.
Jeremy Duncombe, director of intermediary distribution at Accord Mortgages, said: “As a result [of Covid-19], we are changing the way we respond to queries, but have significantly increased the resource on our web chat service and ask that advisers use this facility, available via the website, to enable us to support them over the next few weeks.”
Business development managers can also be reached by email or mobile phone.
“We are working hard to ensure any impact to service levels is kept as a minimum and thank all brokers and partners for their continued understanding,” added Duncombe.
Coventry Building Society has also now made its mortgage payment holiday available online.
