Brad Fordham has been appointed head of mortgages at Santander on a permanent basis.

Fordham (pictured) was made interim head of mortgages on 31 January when Miguel Sard left the bank after 16 years to join NatWest.

Before stepping into the role, Fordham was head of mortgage distribution and has worked for Santander for 25 years.

“I’m thrilled to be appointed to the role of head of mortgages on a permanent basis and am immensely proud of the support that my team continues to give to our customers and the broker community,” said Fordham.

“Their hard work during the Covid-19 pandemic has enabled us to grant over 210,000 mortgage payment holidays and the recent reintroduction of our Help to Buy products will enable us to continue to support an important sector of the market.”
