Richard Walker has been appointed to lead the intermediary sales team and channel for Virgin Money UK, responsible for selling both Virgin Money and Clydesdale mortgage brands.
Walker has more than 20 years’ experience in the intermediary and mortgage market and joined Virgin Money in 2013. He previously worked at First Active and RBS. Walker was most recently Virgin Money’s regional manager for the South and London and before that was head of intermediary proposition and new build.
Walker originally joined Virgin Money in direct sales in Norwich in 2000 and rose to become north region sales manager, followed by a short stint at First Active. He left to become a regional sales manager at RBS Intermediary Partners and stayed for over seven years, before leaving to re-join the Virgin Money brand.

She has an MA in Radio from Goldsmiths after gaining a 2:1 in a Comparative American Studies BA at Warwick University. She also holds a TEFL qualification and taught overseas in Mexico and Japan from 1994 to 1997.
Her role includes editorial oversight of the news, analysis and features, event content management and strategic and editorial consultancy for the AE3 Media group. She is an experienced video, broadcast and live-event host and regularly chairs web and podcast debates and interviews.
