Broker firm holds prize draw to mark 200-review milestone
A mortgage firm has held a £50 prize draw to thank its clients for reaching a milestone of 200 reviews on Google.

Adam Warden, business manager at Xpress Mortgages said the Surrey-based company had since surpassed the figure after first receiving feedback in 2019.

The draw was to win a £50 gift card for Marks and Spencer. The winner was someone who had been a client of Xpress Mortgages for nearly 15 years, when Rachel Lummis started the company.

Warden said: “They have been a client ever since, having begun with adverse credit, coming back to us to handle the remortgaging of their home and is now with a high street lender.”

Warden said the firm’s approach to garnering reviews had varied over the years but for the most part, advisers made sure to ask clients to give feedback on the service given.

“Not everybody does and we don’t push too hard,” he added.

Warden said the reviews were essential in helping the firm, which has two advisers and three admin staff, in gaining credibility and advertising its services.

As well as relying on reviews, Xpress Mortgages promotes itself on its social media pages, sends monthly newsletters to existing clients and pays for pages in local business newsletters.

“The reviews help with being searched on Google because we are a small local business and it gives us visibility. Having those reviews against our name looks good and we’ve had clients come to us after reading them,” Warden added.
