Bankhall and PMS launch protection referral solution for DA firms
Bankhall and PMS Mortgage Club, part of Sesame Bankhall Group, have announced the launch of a protection referral offering for directly authorised (DA) firms.

Bankhall and PMS Mortgage Club said the launch would give its 10,000 DA member firms a choice of leading referral solutions for their clients.

The panel will include protection products from protection specialists Assured Futures, Essential Insurance, Pure Protect and The Insurance Surgery.

Bankhall said the referral solution was aimed at providing a service to firms that did not wish to advise on protection, but did want to make sure their clients’ financial wellbeing was protected.

The referral solution also forms part of Sesame Bankhall Group’s protection pledge campaign which looks to improve the financial resilience of UK households by committing advisers to talk about the need for protection with every client.

The campaign is aimed at raising awareness of protection insurance and improving and prompting advisers’ conversations with clients.

In a survey of 424 directly authorised firms nearly half, 48 per cent, said they needed more support with advising business owners and the self-employed on protection.

Ross Liston (pictured), managing director of Bankhall and PMS, said: “Our new protection referral panel bolsters our ability to help advisers find the right protection cover for their clients. Our four referral partners are established experts in their field and offer a range of quality protection advice solutions.

“Protection is a hugely important issue and one that advisers need to discuss with all their clients. That is why we recently launched our protection pledge campaign, to increase awareness and support. By encouraging advisers across the UK to stress the importance of getting covered to protect against the unexpected, we can help consumers to become more financially resilient. The launch of our new referral solution means that firms that do not wish to give protection advice can still do the right thing and look after their clients’ financial wellbeing.”
