MBT Affordability integrates with Generation Home

Mortgage Broker Tools (MBT) has integrated its MBT Affordability research platform with lender Generation Home.

 

Through the partnership, the affordability tool allows broker users to see whether a mortgage from Generation Home could help their clients borrow the loan size they need, alongside more traditional options.

Generation Home enables buyers to enhance their borrowing by using friends and family funds as ‘boosters’.

Family members can be added to the mortgage and their income can be included in the affordability calculation, which increases the amount an individual can borrow.  Deposit boosters can offer a gift, deposit loan or equity investment to increase the deposit.

According to the latest MBT Affordability Index, one in four first-time buyers and home movers are offered a loan size smaller than they requested.
