Knowledge Bank partners with Propflo to widen access to green home improvement tool
Knowledge Bank has partnered with Propflo to offer brokers access to green home improvement services.
Mortgage advisors will have access to Propflo’s GreenVal tool that guides borrowers through green home improvement options based on their property data and passes on commissions for referring borrowers to retrofit contractors who complete work for borrowers.
Commission from green home improvement referrals could range from £350 to more than £725 per property.
According to the Climate Change Committee, £250bn of investment is required to bring UK properties up to standard which equates to 80,000 that need to be retrofitted every month.
Mortgage advisors can send the GreenVal tool to their customers to use or feature it on their own website. Users can view the benefits of improving their home’s energy efficiency, get quotes for improvements, explore DIY opportunities and find out about thermal comfort and air quality.
Nicola Firth (pictured), founder and chief executive of Knowledge Bank, said: “With energy efficiency a government priority, it’s great to play our part in bringing this type of education and support to the market.”
