Gavin Hancock, formerly underwriting department manager, has taken on the position of head of initial loan originations. He has worked for Pure Retirement for eight years and has 25 years of experience in financial services.
He helped to implement the lender’s underwriting promise, which provides applications with the same underwriter through to completion to maintain consistency.
He has also introduced a phone-first culture between underwriters and advisers, so solutions can be found quickly when needed to avoid delaying the progress of a case.
Hancock will now work on enhancing the rest of the originations journey and bringing in more improvements across all touchpoints.
Beth Lawson, who has worked at Pure Retirement for eight years in the underwriting department, including three-and-a-half years as underwriting team lead, has been appointed to the role of underwriting department manager. She has 14 years of experience in financial services, including working in delivering the right outcomes for customers and working with brokers to improve the customer experience.
