Nottingham BS trims mortgage rates
Nottingham Building Society has reduced rates on all standard residential mortgages, with pricing on new lending now starting at 4.38%.
The changes come after recent criteria enhancements introduced by the mutual around income, self-employed borrowers and new-build properties.
Matt Kingston, sales director at Nottingham Building Society, said: “Cutting rates across our residential range is an important signal, but it’s only one part of a much bigger picture. We’ve been deliberately pulling a number of levers – across pricing, affordability and criteria – to make our lending work harder for real people with real lives.
“Between the launch of our new IDI platform for brokers last year and the propositions we’re developing for the future, our focus is firmly on removing unnecessary barriers and supporting brokers to help borrowers who are often well-placed to sustain homeownership but under-served by rigid models. We’re backing customers with practical, flexible solutions – not just today, but as the market continues to evolve.”
