TSB has lowered mortgage rates across buy-to-let (BTL) products.

The bank’s two- and five-year fixed BTL purchase and remortgage rates have been cut by up to 0.35%.

Pricing now starts at 3.79% for a BTL two-year fixed purchase product up to 60% loan to value (LTV) with a £1,995 fee, 4.09% with a £995 fee and 4.29% with no fee.

The five-year fixed equivalents have rates of 3.99%, 4.09% and 4.19% respectively.

Across its remortgage offering, rates start at 3.84% for a two-year fix up to 60% LTV with a £1,995 fee, 4.14% with a £995 fee and 4.34% with no fee.

The five-year fixed options are priced at 4.04%, 4.14% and 4.24% respectively.

Nottingham BS trims mortgage rates

Nottingham Building Society has reduced rates on all standard residential mortgages, with pricing on new lending now starting at 4.38%.

The changes come after recent criteria enhancements introduced by the mutual around income, self-employed borrowers and new-build properties.

Matt Kingston, sales director at Nottingham Building Society, said: “Cutting rates across our residential range is an important signal, but it’s only one part of a much bigger picture. We’ve been deliberately pulling a number of levers – across pricing, affordability and criteria – to make our lending work harder for real people with real lives.

“Between the launch of our new IDI platform for brokers last year and the propositions we’re developing for the future, our focus is firmly on removing unnecessary barriers and supporting brokers to help borrowers who are often well-placed to sustain homeownership but under-served by rigid models. We’re backing customers with practical, flexible solutions – not just today, but as the market continues to evolve.”

Barclays launches deals and lowers pricing

Barclays has added new purchase products to its Premier range, open to borrowers earning at least £75,000 per year or with £100,000 in savings.

The products have no fees and include a two-year fix at 85% LTV with a rate of 4.15% and an option at 95% LTV with a rate of 4.87%.

The corresponding five-year fixes have rates of 4.05% and 4.76% respectively.
