Stonebridge said the East and West Midlands were known for having many financial services professionals and firms and were home to a sixth of mortgage finance company positions in England and Wales.
Drawing on data from Nomis and the Office for National Statistics (ONS), it noted that the regions represented a quarter of all these jobs outside of London, hosting 17% of such businesses and accounting for 21% of those outside of the capital.
The hub will be at Gervase House and used by around 45 employees of Stonebridge as the firm seeks to grow its headcount.
This will be in addition to the firm’s headquarters in Basildon, Essex, which comprises its HR and finance teams, with plans to add new roles this year.
Stonebridge said the hub would give existing network members an additional location to meet its support staff in person.

Rob Clifford (pictured), chief executive of Stonebridge, said: “Given the increasing popularity of hybrid versus permanent home working, we’ve been planning a regional hub for some time and I’m delighted that it has now become a reality. It’s a vote of absolute confidence in us by our shareholders, and it’s also a sign of our confidence in the Midlands.
“The region plays a key role in the UK economy as a centre for financial services firms outside London. Gervase House will support our expansion through local recruitment, increased collaboration, and improved accessibility for our network members who want to meet face to face.”
He added: “It is already providing a great working environment at this important crossroads for the team we are building here, and the wider 200 colleagues who will be able to use it as a base of operations when they need it.”
Last month, Stonebridge appointed Liz Obee as its national recruitment manager, responsible for supporting its continued growth.
In 2025, the network welcomed more than 100 new appointed representatives (ARs) to its business.
