Harrison (pictured) has held senior sales positions for over three decades, including roles at Bank of Scotland, Merrill Lynch, GE Capital, Hamilton Greig and Stretton Capital.
His role at Untangled will include the responsibility of sales and distribution across all core product areas.
Untangled recently changed its name from Ampla Finance to become a more consumer-focused proposition. The short-term finance lender specialises in helping customers move forward during complex situations involving property, probate and divorce finance.
Harrison said: “The bridging finance sector has lagged behind the rest of the property lending sector in terms of the adoption of technology, and so I look forward to banging the drum about our proposition combining market-leading tech, backed by excellent people and processes.”
Peter Beaumont, chief executive of Untangled, said: “Attracting such a name as Mark in the sector is a testament to the lender that we have built, and Mark’s experience, knowledge and contacts will give us an unrivalled edge as we start to build awareness of the Untangled brand and proposition.”
