Government plans to kickstart self-build market
Every estate new should have one or more roads where the plots are sold individually. This would help small builders and self-builders, and bring relief from the monotonous boxes that the mass-builders throw up. Why do you have no choice with a new house?
In France, Canada and America the builder has a book of house designs you choose from, and then you decide what plot you want it built on. Here, the builder decides what house goes where, and stuff what the customer wants.
