Help to Buy: what you need to know

I have been taking calls non-stop since Tuesday on Help to Buy enquries and the confusion among the public between the two HTB schemes is mind boggling.

They all seem to think that both schemes offer an equity loan element and that the government will allow you buy BTL properties with a 95% mortgage! One of the callers works for HSBC and the other was a licensed conveyancer!?

God give me strength…
